Elyse Johnson is an artist and writer working in Cincinnati, Ohio and recipient of the 2015 Wilder Traveling Scholarship Grant. Johnson uses performance-based videos to investigate loops in culture and intimacy, our contemporary relationship with the earth, and the way the land rearranges itself. Johnson received her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2015 and will be attending Parsons School of Design this fall in pursuit of her MFA.
